Question 1

What is difference between AI safety and AI security?

Accepted Answer

Security = protect the model from attackers (prompt injection, breaches, access controls). Safety = protect people, clients, and companies from what the model does (bias, hallucinations, leaking PII, over-reliance).

Question 2

Is this for CISOs?

Accepted Answer

No. Security teams need a security cert — look at TAISE ($795) or CASO (~$2,199). This is AI Safety for people who use AI on the job, not a CISO track.

Question 3

Is this for researchers?

Accepted Answer

No. This is not a research seminar, fellowship on-ramp, or research career. It is a workplace credential for the job you already have if you use AI at work.

Question 4

Is CASF™ the same as BlueDot?

Accepted Answer

No. We are not affiliated with BlueDot Impact or CAIS. Those programs are research and fellowship on-ramps: about 30 minutes to apply, a selective facilitated cohort, about 30 hours, pay-what-you-want, and a completion certificate that is not identity-verified and has no public GASC verify URL. CASF™ Foundations is $199 workplace AI Safety and Risk Management for people who use AI on the job — free M0, write the policy, identity-verified exam, public verify. We do not teach protecting the model from attackers; that is a security cert (TAISE).

Question 5

Is this for everyone with ChatGPT?

Accepted Answer

Only if AI is part of your job. PMs, engineers, lawyers, HR, and founders who use AI on the job — not a casual-use course for everyone.

Question 6

Is M0 really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Live classroom videos, no login, 90 minutes of Parts 1–3, plus the policy template. Write and quiz stay in your classroom. M1–M5 unlock at $199 after the 80% quiz. Passing the quiz does not by itself unlock paid modules.

Question 7

What is AI safety certified?

Accepted Answer

CASF™ — AI Safety Certified — Foundations Level is the first plain-English professional certificate focused purely on AI Safety — not just security. It is a credential for the job you already have and a practical way to write AI Safety Policies for organizations: deployers, companies, schools, and agencies. 12 hours, 60-question identity-verified exam, Verifiable QR + LinkedIn badge.

Question 8

Can anyone take it?

Accepted Answer

No IT years required — unlike SecAI+. It is still not for everyone: only if AI is part of your job. Designed for founders, PMs, compliance, HR, legal, ops, and engineers — not CISOs, not a research career, not casual ChatGPT use.

Question 9

How much does TAISE certification cost?

Accepted Answer

TAISE certification cost is $795 for a 20–30 hour CISO AI security program. CASF™ — AI Safety Certified — Foundations Level is $199 AI safety training for people who use AI on the job. We are not TAISE. Compare both on the TAISE vs CASF™ page.

Question 10

How is it different from TAISE?

Accepted Answer

TAISE is $795, 20–30 hours, and focused on enterprise AI security. CASO is $2,199. SecAI+ requires years of IT experience. CASF™ Foundations is $199, 12 hours, safety-first, plain English, no prerequisites, with a Verifiable QR + LinkedIn badge and two attempts included.

Question 11

Is it recognized?

Accepted Answer

Your certificate is verifiable at https://www.getaisafetycertified.com/verify/{id} with a QR code. Valid 2 years. Renewal is $199, then the exam again, then a new GASC ID. Built directly on the frameworks auditors ask for: NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act. Add to LinkedIn in one click. CASF™ Foundations is a professional certificate; ANAB ISO/IEC 17024 is a later path.

Question 12

How long does it take?

Accepted Answer

12 hours self-paced: 6 modules with video, reading, and 10-question quizzes. Then a 60-minute identity-verified exam (60 questions, 70% to pass, 2 attempts included). Most people finish in a weekend.

Question 13

What frameworks does it cover?

Accepted Answer

NIST AI Risk Management Framework (Govern, Map, Measure, Manage), ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act risk tiers and deployer obligations, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, plus practical controls: Guardrails AI, NeMo Guardrails, audit trails, and red teaming.

Question 14

Will I learn to write an AI Safety Policy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. That is a core outcome, not a sidebar. Individuals leave with a policy one-pager they can take into a company, school, or agency. Teams get EU AI Act deployer policy plus org playbooks. The M5 capstone is writing the policy, not just reading about governance.

Question 15

Are you affiliated with a university or BlueDot / CAIS?

Accepted Answer

No. We are seeking founding academic and institutional partners. The curriculum is built to partner with universities, research orgs, and standards bodies — including a future co-brand path similar to how open education programs work with universities. We do not currently claim affiliation with TAISE, Northeastern, CSA, BlueDot Impact, or CAIS.

Question 16

Is CASF™ accredited?

Accepted Answer

No. CASF™ Foundations is a professional certificate issued by Gabby Software Engineering LLC d/b/a getaisafetycertified.com, similar to DeepLearning.AI certificates. As of September 2026, CASF™ is not accredited by ANAB under ISO/IEC 17024 and not listed in CISA NICCS. We are pursuing both. Built to align with NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and EU AI Act — those references denote curriculum alignment, not government endorsement.
